Le Collège des naturopathes du Québec was founded in 1963: It is the oldest professional association of naturopaths in Quebec. All our members are health and lifestyle specialists. They trained in health sciences and obtained a diploma in naturopathy (N.D.). They practice naturopathy with professionalism in various forms: consultation, conferences, workshops, publication of books and articles, etc.
Le Collège des Naturopathes du Québec was founded in 1963. It holds a Quebec charter which authorizes it to legally bring together naturopaths and which allows them to structure their action. The College was the very first organization to officially deal with naturopathy in Quebec. The College has a Constitution, Regulations and a Code of Ethics that members are bound to respect. The College has adopted a precise definition of naturopathy, namely “the philosophy, art and science which aims to provide human beings with the highest possible degree of health, by teaching them to correctly manage their lifestyle habits. “. The College of Naturopaths of Quebec began to flourish in the 1960s, thanks to its pioneers, let’s mention the doctors Raymond Barbeau, Jean-Marc Brunet and Guy Bohémier. They have been involved in the Collège des Naturopathes du Québec for many years and have greatly contributed to defining the status and scope that we know of it today. They have worked not only as presidents, but also in naturopathic consultation and in the teaching of naturopathy.

1978: The CNQ becomes a member of the Canadian Naturopathic Association, a federal organization that brings together naturopaths in Canada.

The World Federation of Naturopathy groups together, in one register, institutions representing the different schools of naturopathic thought throughout the world. This federation, chaired by Dr. Jean-Marc Brunet, N.D., focuses on the hygionomist and vitalist conceptions of naturopathy.
